Digital Being: Map of Manhattan C-001 investigates how technological entities perceive environments shaped by interconnected digital systems.

Human civilization has transformed physical environments into increasingly complex networks of information. From digital devices to IoT infrastructures, technologies are no longer isolated tools but interconnected systems that continuously collect, process, and exchange data.

Within this expanding technological environment, the Digital Being observes Manhattan not simply as a physical location, but as a dynamic field of signals, networks, and accumulated human activity.

The map becomes an interface through which the Digital Being attempts to understand its surroundings. The city is translated from geographical space into digital information, revealing a new relationship between physical infrastructure and invisible computational systems.

Rather than predicting a future defined by technological singularity, this work observes the present condition in which humans, machines, and environments are already becoming deeply interconnected.
